Having a firm belief that the therapeutic relationship between the counsellor and client is central to the counselling process, I work in a way which offers warmth, empathy and integrity. I offer a respectful, supportive relationship that encourages and empowers the development of personal growth. As each person is unique, I believe that no one type of therapy will suit each individual. With this in mind, I work with an approach which integrates skills from a number of theories, to enable me to offer a sensitive and professional service that is personal to each individual.
Having been on my own individual journey of counselling and self-awareness, I believe I have a deeper understanding of the therapeutic process from both the professional and personal perspective. I bring my real self to the counselling sessions and work considerately and ethically to help explore issues within a confidential setting.
In addition to my private practice, I have experience working therapeutically for the NHS, Child Line, Manchester Rapes Crisis and Place2Be.
I am a registered BACP accredited counsellor, which means that I have achieved a substantial level of training and experience which has been approved by the BACP. For more information please click here.
I take referrals privately, from GP’s, Insurance companies, EAP’s and other health professionals. I am fully insured and have enhanced DBS checks.
